“Houseplant” Valance

Dining Room Window Plants

Welcome to week two of Window Wednesday.

Been trying to add some greenery to our living room/dining room/kitchen area (it’s a small house:).  Since the dining room table sits right under the window, low-hanging plants would be a bit annoying.  Found this bar that I bought a while back at Ikea thinking it would work on the kitchen.  It didn’t fit in the kitchen, but think it has found its place.  The rod is hung right onto the trim.

Since the pots are so small, it only took two plants to fill all three! It was a little messy separating the plants so I took advantage of the sunny day we had here today.  Think it was only in the high 40’s, but since it was sunny and bright our minds were tricked into “spring day”.

Adding houseplants improves the air quality in your home and the natural greenery freshens any room. Have fun adding some greens to your windows.

Coming up in a future Window Wednesday…found the perfect “flower box” (i.e.. old crate) for the kitchen window. Think it will be a great indoor herb garden.

Thanks for visiting,
