As parents, we know that playing sports as kids is so much more than learning how to play the game. It’s learning to win (and lose) with grace, understanding that others are depending on you to do your part, and comprehending that hard work, hustle, and a good attitude are just as important as natural ability.
Our kids will play on many teams, be a part of various groups, and participate in a host of activities. The magic happens when you find that amazing combination of fabulous kids, dedicated (and let’s face it, fun) parents, and incredible coaches.
When you find that winning combination, you hold on as long as you can. These memory blankets are the culminating gift of that amazing experience for this group of families.
These kids have been playing, traveling, and working together for five years, from 4th grade straight through 8th. When you’re a kid, that is a huge percentage of your life. A positive experience like that leaves an impression that lasts a lifetime and creates bonds that reach far beyond the court.
The moms that coordinated these gifts for the coaches are truly grateful for their dedication, perseverance, and ongoing support they gave to the GV Fire Team and the boys who played.
